James Phillip Edwards

James "Jimbo" Phillip Edwards, age 59, of Watson, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021. He was born February 21, 1962 in Baton Rouge, LA. He graduated from Central High School in 1980. He had a love for old cars, the outdoors, and spending time with family. He had a dream of building a camp where the whole family could be together and share memories. He was a family man and always put them first before himself. James was known for being a perfectionist and it showed in all the craftsman work he did. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

James is survived by his wife of 26 years Renee Smith Edwards; mother, Pansy Noble Blanchard (Wayne); sons, James Houston Edwards (Bridget) , Jacob Paul Edwards; daughter, Kristen Renee Gerald (Lucas);grandchildren, Brayden, Graysen and Lyla Gerald and Jameson Edwards; In-laws, Carl and Sandra Smith; sister-in-laws, Laurie, Michelle (Joe), Carla (Linda), Vicky and Rhonda (Shane); sisters, Tara Massey and Keeli Antee; brother, Jessie Edwards (Wanda), Kerry Blanchard; nieces, Amanda, Julie and Crystal.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Phillip Edwards.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Central Funeral Home, 9995 Hooper Rd Central, LA from 4:30 PM- 7:00 PM. The visitation will continue on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 9:00 AM until Service time at 10:00 AM at Central Funeral Home.
