Jim Kling left this world way too soon to be with his Lord on August 13, 2023. A lifelong resident of Zachary, he was a graduate of Silliman Institute and was also an outstanding athlete who attended Delta State University on a full football scholarship.He was an employee of Mississippi Iron Works. He was a wonderful and much loved son, brother, nephew and uncle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Effie and Kent Kling, Joyce and Sidney Browning. He is survived by parents, Shelley and Kenny Kling (Central); brother, John Kling and wife Melissa (Tallahassee, Florida); uncle, Rusty Browning and wife Michele (Central) along with cousins Brodie and Sydney Browning; 7 nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; the love of his life, Christina Politz Duczer (Zachary) and a special cousin and friend, Anne Browning. Pallbearers will be Rusty Browning, Dale Cane, Jeff Jones, Ken Raye, Brodie Browning and John Kling. Honorary pallbearers will be Rhett Lormand, Gage Duczer and Jacob Kling. Jim had a short life, but he lived it his way, to the fullest, one day at a time. Visitation will be held at Central Funeral Home on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Friday, August 18, 2023 starting at 9:00 am leading up to 10:00 am services. Burial will follow at Green Oaks Memorial Park. Central Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
