She was born December 21, 1949, in Baton Rouge. A devoted wife, Jan was married to her high school sweetheart, Sonny Olivier, for 54 years. She dedicated her life to helping hearing impaired children as a speech and hearing therapist at the Louisiana School for the Deaf for 30 years, but her favorite profession was being a mother. She was actively involved in all of her children’s activities as Girl Scout Leader, Tennis Coach, who led the St. Joseph's Academy team to back to back State Championships and Official Scorekeeper for the Catholic High School Baseball Team. When her children were grown, her favorite pastimes became capturing special family memories through photography and hugging grandbabies. She was an amazing cook and all were welcome at her famous Sunday Dinners. Jan was an amazing caregiver who selflessly dedicated herself to caring for any family member or friend in need. She also enjoyed sharing Christ with others as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Alphonsus Church.
