A native of Baton Rouge, Melanie Fitch Hammack, age 49, died after a brief battle with cancer on Sunday, February 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. She is loved greatly and will be dearly missed. Melanie is survived by her parents, Debbie and Steve Fitch, her husband George Hammack, her daughter Shelby Hammack, her step son Dean Hammack, her sister Laney Fitch and brother Donovan Fitch, nephews Trey D’Aunoy and Luke Matthews, and her niece Paetyn Fitch. She was strong, resilient, and had the biggest heart of all. A memorial/celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 2:00 pm until service time at 3:30pm, at Rabenhorst East Funeral home, 11000 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA.
