

After attending college and serving in the military, (Army),he worked as a Project Manager for the State of Louisiana until he retired. Even after retirement he worked as a courier for a few companies.
Early on he was active in tennis, golf, bowling, bike riding,landscaping, and taking care of his pet dogs. However, what he enjoyed the most was coaching youth basketball for many years in a local CYO league and also in a church YOUTH program. He wasn’t one to sit still for too long. He also enjoyed LSU sports and New Orleans Saints football games, especially if they won. He didn’t travel much but was always talking about his time in California where he got to spend time with family and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ollie Hamilton, and his sister Demetra. He is survived by a cousin,Donald Mayeaux, (Juanita) ofFremont, CA, and also his“extended family”, Jodi and Les McLin and family, Dean and Teresa Brumfield and family,Jeanette Thompson and Robert Brumfield.
A memorial service has been scheduled for Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 7 pm with visiting beginning at 6pm all at Central Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park at a later date.
