Preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Amond and Alice (Terrell) Amond, her brother, A. J. Amond, and her sisters Caroline (Amond) Comeaux, and Brenda (Amond) Parent, Pat leaves behind many who love her.
Among those who will miss her dearly are: her husband of nearly 60 years, Randolph J. (R.J.) Saucier, her children, Randall Saucier and his wife, Jenny, Cheli Roberson and her husband Keith, and Rebecca Owen-Saucier and her wife Terry. Missing their Granny are Ben Saucier, his wife Anna, and their son Reed. Other grandchildren who continue to love her include: Amanda (Roberson) Story and her husband Tommy, Jessie Roberson, and Sami Roberson. Brothers Richard “Dickie” (and wife Esther), and Daniel “Danny” (and wife Peggy) Amond also go on with fond memories of their big sister.
A graduate of Woodlawn High, Pat leaves behind some life-long friends who are more like sisters than “buds.” After graduating from Commercial Art school, Pat was a successful legal secretary and bookkeeper. Her passion and talent for art came to life in her many beautiful paintings. Between professional jobs; however, was the role she loved and excelled at the most…that of a loving wife and mother. Always making people feel welcome in their home, younger days included kids in and out, great birthday parties, and holiday celebrations. In more recent years, R.J. and Pat’s home has been a great gathering place for friends and family. While she will be greatly missed, her legacy of love will not be forgotten.
Pat’s family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Baton Rouge and to her caregiver, Rita. Your care and compassion will not be forgotten.
