On Monday, January 25, 2021, Evie Breland, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away at the age of 83 surrounded by her family. Evie was born on February 19, 1937 in Perry County to Earl Fuller and Maggie Lucille Ingram. On February 10, 1955, she married the love of her life, Claude Breland. Evie had a passion for many things including the Lord, her family, gardening, cooking, caring for others and loving her chihuahua, Sam. Evie and her husband attended many years at Waycross Bible Methodist Church. Evie enjoyed reading her bible and praying with family and friends. She loved the Lord with all of her heart and her family meant the absolute world to her. She loved preparing lunch on Sundays and spending time while making each of them feel special. She worked hard in her garden and shared the fruits of her labor with many others. Evie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Claude Breland, her sons, Marvin Breland(Joyce), Rickey Breland(Cindy) and Sammy Breland(Susan). She is also survived by her grandsons, Kevin Breland(Tabatha), Brandon Breland(Ashley) and Pete Royster(Heather); her granddaughters, Christin McKenzie(Wes), Bridget Breland(Max) and Ashlee Warren; her great grandchildren, Cody Breland, Kaitlyn Breland, Landon Breland, Jenna Breland, Rylan Breland, Cohen McKenzie, Eli Royster, Natalie Royster, Aubree Royster and Alayna Royster. She is survived by her sisters, Effie King. Helen Swindle Creel, Barbara Nell Averette, Peggy Averette, Irma Lagrone, Beatrice Wyatt and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Evie is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Fuller and Maggie Lucille Ingram; her grandson, Steven Breland, her brothers, Fuller Ingram, Earl Ingram, Jr. and Robert Earl Ingram; her sisters, Earline Sims and Patsy Breland.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Mt. Ivah Bible Methodist Church in Marion, Alabama at 11 AM. Flowers may be sent to Rockco Funeral Home in Centreville, Alabama.
Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Breland, Brandon Breland, Cody Breland, Landon Breland, Wes McKenzie, Max McCrary and Pete Royster. Honorary Pallbearers, Jerry Averette, Eddie Averette, Jimmy Clements, Darren Crocker and employees of Johnny Kynard Logging.
