Henry Stephen "Steve" LeVert, age 66, of Brent, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27, 2021. Henry was born February 16, 1955 to Samuel LeVert and Maggie Kornegay LeVert. He was a graduate of Delta State College in Mississippi. He worked for Cahaba Veneer in Centreville and retired from Phifer Wire in Tuscaloosa. In his free time, he loved fishing, reading, Alabama football, Chicago Bulls and being with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sheryl LeVert; daughters, Neacey Wynter of Marion, AL and Candi LeVert of Fayetteville, AL; sons, Samuel "Devin" LeVert of Brent and Stephen "Alex" LeVert of Brent; grandchildren, Bailey LeVert, Lucas Stewart, Kensley Stewart, Torrin Wynter and Bryson Wynter; brothers, Greg LeVert (Polly) of Kosciusko, MS and Ronnie LeVert (Jo) of Madison, MS; nephews, Will LeVert (Jessica) and Joshua LeVert; nieces, Robin Willis and Michelle Tubbs; aunt, Katherine "Kat" Jarvis of Fairfield, AL; uncles, Henry LeVert of Selma, AL and Alan LeVert (Judy) of Wetumpka, AL; mother-in-law, Tommie McCravy of Brent, AL; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins; and his canine companion, Sassy.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rockco Funeral Home, with visitation to begin at 1:00 PM. Rev. Henry LeVert and Chaplain Brian Moon will officiate and burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Cemetery in Eoline, Alabama. Attire is casual in memory of Steve.
