James Alan Ingram (Jim), 73, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, passed on March 6, 2023. James was born on January 15, 1950 in Chicago, IL and moved down to Alabama as a young kid. Graduated from Cordova High School went on to attend a local college before being drafted into the Air Force. He served 4 years in the Air Force making friends with several who he spent time with and talking to on the phone up until his death. After honorably discharging from the Air Force he enrolled in college at the University of Alabama graduated and began a career as a Social Worker for the State of Alabama and then retired after 30 years of service to the community. A lifelong traveler to Ireland and countries nearby, over the course of his life he made over 25 trips to Ireland and was planning at least two more. He was preceded by both parents Huey and Jean Ingram and two brothers John and Jerrold. He is survived by a daughter Jennifer Harris, and his 4 grandchildren, Ireland(Laney), Garrett, Olivia and Nathan Harris, two sisters Nancy Ingram, Mary Ann and Paul Tucker and their daughter Hayley Schweitzer and numerous other nieces and nephews. Per his request there was no ceremony and his remains will be taken to Ireland to some of his favorite locations.
