Johnnie "Cookie" Jones

Cookie was a lifelong resident of West Blocton, Alabama. She graduated from West Blocton High School and worked for AT&T for over 40 years. Cookie enjoyed life. She was a member of Johntown Baptist Church, and was a devoted mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She loved the beach and Alabama Football. She also enjoyed visiting historic sites whenever she had the chance.

Cookie is survived by her children, Gidget(Brian) Jarrell and Chad(Alison) Jones; and grandchildren, Skylar Jones, Emily(Dylan) Williams, Brennan Whatley, Bree Jarrell, Everson Jones, Colton Jarrell, and Laken Whatley

She is preceded by her parents, J.C. and Effie Lee Fountain; sister, Annie Lee Gentry; and her brother, Homer Fountain.

A visitation for Cookie will be Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:00AM at Johntown Baptist Church in West Blocton, Alabama, followed by a Graveside Service at 11:00AM at Johntown Cemetery where she will be laid to rest. Roasco Kornegay will be officiating.
