
Regis John Brawdy, a beloved and brave individual, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025 at 6:02 pm. Regis was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose presence will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Born on October 27, 1949, Regis proudly served two tours in Vietnam as a Ranger in the United States Army, where he was awarded Purple Hearts for injuries sustained during his service. He also served as a member of the United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance Unit, showcasing his bravery and dedication to his country.
After his distinguished military career, Regis transitioned to a career in the construction field, where he continued to demonstrate his commitment and work ethic.
Residing in Centreville, Alabama, Regis leaves behind a legacy of devotion and courage that will be cherished by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Ida Brawdy of Conway, PA., daughter, Lisa Blankenship of Clayton, AL., and brother-in-law, Kenny Haglan of Conway, PA.
Regis is survived by his wife, Virginia "Wendy" Brawdy of Centreville, AL., children, Leticia Jacobson (David) of Dawson Springs, TX., Teresa Carter of Belton, TX., Bobbie Brock (Gary) of Hanceville, AL., Brian May (Rebecca) of Buhl, AL., and Stacy May of Tuscaloosa, AL.; siblings, Linda Haglan of Conway, PA., James Brawdy (Cindy) of Conway, PA., Eddie Brawdy (Laurene) of Conway, PA., and Tommy Brawdy of Mobile, AL.; grandchildren, Dakota Jones, Kailee Hash, Sydney Jacobson, Sierra Carter, Landon Carter, Sasha Thornton, Megan Hill, Amber May, Gavin May, Garrett May, Janie Peck, and Chris Martin; great-grandchildren, Oakley Hash, Brooklyn Mika, Brylee Thornton, Bryson Thornton, Katherine Hill, Mary Hill, Kaisley Martin.
