Rose “Meme” Bain, age 101, born in Centreville, AL on April 26, 1922 and passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved daughters on July 10, 2023 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Rose Bain, affectionately known as “Meme”, was a force of nature—a woman who fearlessly embraced life and left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Rose Bain had a magnetic personality that made strangers into friends in an instant. She traveled all over Europe twice, making friends and asking for sweet tea all along the way. She possessed the remarkable ability to find common ground with people from all walks of life. Her genuine interest in others and her ability to make them feel important will be forever remembered. She especially loved visits, card games, and long talks with all her many close friends. Rose loved people and her friends meant the world to her.
Rose was a compassionate friend, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and a true inspiration to us all. Above all else Rose loved Jesus and was a child of God, always looking forward to the day she would meet Him face to face.
