Vester Lee Lawrence

Vester Lee Lawrence, 88 passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 3rd, 2017 in Titusville, FL surrounded by loved ones. On September 14th, 1946 he married Edna Earle Creel in Centreville, AL. A lifelong resident of Woodstock, Alabama, Vester spent his life serving the church body and community of First Baptist Church of Woodstock as a member and Deacon for over 40 years. After relocating to Florida he continued his service as a Deacon for Sunvalley Christian Church. He is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Edna Earle (Creel) Lawrence and his eldest son Garry Frank Lawrence. Survivors include 3 sons: Charlie Lawrence (Reta) of Welaka, FL, Johnny Lawrence (Dianne) of Centreville, AL and Roger Lawrence (Ellen) of Titusville, FL; 6 grandchildren Matthew, Chad, Ashley, Jarrod, Casey and Jeremy and 9 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held at First Baptist Church of Woodstock from 1:30 – 2:30. Funeral Service will begin at 2:30, followed by burial at Bibbville Baptist Church Cemetery in Bibbville, AL.
