Adele "Tudy" Perez Nunez

Adele “Tudy” Perez Nunez passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the age of 89. She was the cherished wife of the late Hillary J. “Tookie” Nunez. Loving mother of Christie Nunez (Gene Carrau) and Hillary Nunez Jr. (Marilyn). Daughter of the late Manuella Ruiz Perez and Merrill Perez. Sister of the late Joyce Henderson, Merrill “Mutt” Perez Jr., Eugene “Rabbit” Perez and Cornelia “Ba Ba” Robertson. Proud grandmother of Hillary “Lainey” Barthelemy (Kevin), Tessy Vaillancourt (Eric) and Jody Alfonso. Great grandmother of Lauren Savoie (Evan), Alex Savoie (Austin), Parker Miller, Charlotte Barthelemy and Cooper Barthelemy. Great-great grandmother of Kolten Savoie. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Tudy was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of Violet, LA. She enjoyed a long career as an Office Administrator with the Port of St. Bernard where she dedicated many years of service before retiring. As a woman of deep faith, Tudy was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet, where she also enjoyed participating in their annual carnival balls.

Above all, Tudy cherished time spent with her family and friends. She especially loved hanging out "Back of Violet" at the fort and the camps where her warmth, laughter and generous spirit brought everyone together. She had a special gift for finding joy in life’s simple moments and for showing kindness and care to those around her. Tudy will be remembered for her unwavering loyalty and her warm heart and the light she brought into every room.

Rest in peace, dear Tudy. You were a wonderful example of what it means to truly care for others and you will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at OUR LADY OF LOURDES CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2621 Colonial Blvd. Violet, LA on Tuesday, July 22nd from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Mass in Tudy’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
