Albert Julien Guinot Jr.

Albert was born on October 6, 1933 in New Orleans to Albert and Edna Guinot. He spent the majority of his life in St. Bernard Parish.

He will be fondly remembered as an avid golfer at Braithwaite and Bayou Barriere Golf Club, wood-working enthusiast, proud patriot and his dedicated service in the armed forces. However if you asked him, his fondest achievement would be the marriage to his beautiful bride and raising of his six children. His greatest reward would be the legacy of his fourteen grand-children and five great-grandchildren.

Albert is survived by his six children: Julie Grueninger (Wayne), Albert Guinot III (Donna), Guy Guinot (Laurie), Lisa Pellegrini (Jerry), Renee Maitre (Henry) and Nicole Cammarata (Ryan); fourteen grandchildren: Troy (Stephanie), Jerry, Erika (Tommy), Guy, Jourdin, Henry, Mason, Rhett, Shelby, Jobie, Austin, Hudson, Jake and Cruz; five great grandchildren: Bria, Brody, Beau, Tre and Trenton.

A visitation will be held at OUR LADY OF PROMPT SUCCOR CHURCH, 2320 PARIS ROAD in CHALMETTE, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, on Thursday, January 25, 2018, followed by a mass in Albert’s honor, at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, 701 W. Virtue Street in Chalmette, following Mass.
