Allan C. Duca

Allan C. Duca “Al Katz” was peacefully wrapped in the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the age of 61. He was the loving husband of Shawn Bonin Duca; son of Marie Duca Pablovich; brother of Joe Duca (Carol); son-in-law of Joy Bonin; brother-in-law of Denise Gallo (Harold) and Wilson Bonin Jr. (Jennifer). Loving uncle of Harold Gallo III, Jonathan Gallo and Alexandria Bonin. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his daughter Amanda and his 3 granddaughters, Madison, Alayna and Mia; along with many cousins, relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob “Jack” Duca and his father-in-law Wilson Bonin Sr.

Allan was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed a long career in the security industry, working alongside many sports teams in the Superdome. Following hurricane Katrina, Allan and his family settled in Picayune, MS. He found pleasure in the details of everyday life and cared deeply for those around him. He was a huge Saints, Pelicans and wrestling fan. He was at his best with a microphone in hand as he supplied so many hours of entertainment with his love for his oldies music. Allan will always be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family, his loving spirit and his laughter. He will be forever loved by his wife Shawn and deeply missed by his family and by all those whose lives he touched. Who Dat!!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, February 26th from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00AM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
