Allen Junius Landry

Allen Junius Landry, a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the age of 80. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Henrietta Latapie Landry. Loving father of Alan Dale Landry (Carolyn) Melody Landry Norwood (Lonnie) and Dustin Gisclair (Christie). Half-brother of Jerry Moss Landry. He is also survived and fondly remembered by his 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren along with many dear friends. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Landry and Blanche Bourg; and his step-son Glenn Gisclair. Allen was born in New Orleans, LA, a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish currently residing in Marrero, LA. He was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend, who loved his trips to the Silver Slipper, but treasured his family above all else. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, October 14th from 6:00PM – 10:00PM and again on Thursday morning from 9:00AM – 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will take place in the chapel beginning at 11:00AM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
