

Andrew was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 9th,1958 to Andrew J. Twohig Jr. and Carolyn LaFrance Twohig. He was the third of four generations. He grew up in a loving home in St. Bernard Parish. As a young boy, he enjoyed fishing alongside his mother at Shell Beach and Delacroix Island.
Shortly after graduating, Andrew married his first love and had two children together.
Andrew cherished his time with his family and looked forward to holidays when everyone gathered together at his mom's house for gumbo and oyster dressing.
Andrew developed a passion for mechanics and sheet metal fabrication. He later went on to practice his craft working in the field of welding and construction. In his free time, Andrew enjoyed playing guitar. He was also a skilled cook and liked working in restaurants and bakeries. He spoke fondly of his time creating King Cakes during Mardi Gras as some of the most gratifying times while in between construction jobs.
Andrew will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and charismatic personality. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and work associates.
Andrew is survived by his son Andrew Twohig IV; his sibling, Donna Twohig; his grandchildren Drew Twohig, Kinsington Twohig, and Casey Twohig. He was preceded in death by his son Jonathon Michael Twohig.
