Anthony "Tony" J. Huy

On Monday, July 4, 2022, Anthony “Tony” J. Huy, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 64. Tony was born January 5,1958, in New Orleans, to the late Mario Juan Huy, Sr. and Josephine Burke Huy. He resided in St. Bernard Parish for over 25 yrs. Tony loved fishing, betting horses, being at the ball park, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his childhood love and wife of 46 years, Julie Pabst Huy; and his beloved daughters, Jennifer Huy Lewis and Susan Huy Anglin. Tony is remembered by his sons-in-law, Richard “Richie” Lewis and Travis Anglin; his granddaughters, Taylor Anglin Kramer (Kevin) and Madison Josephine Lewis; his great-grandchildren, Katherine and Jaxson Kramer; his brother Mario Huy Jr.; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Mario and Josephine; his brother, the late Dino Huy Sr.; his sister, the late Josephine Perry Sortino; his brother-in-law, Kevin Hume Sr., and Mitsy Hume.

Please join us in celebration of his life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a gathering on Friday, July 8, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A memorial mass will begin in his memory at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
