Bernice Conners Peuler

Bernice Conners Peuler passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the age of 87. She was the cherished wife of over 50 years to the late Bernard Peuler. Loving mother of Gaynelle Perniciaro (Gary) (Terry), Gina Smallwood (Ricky) and the late Gail Brown (Scott). Daughter of the late Timothy Conners and Jeanette Miller Conners. Sister of Barbara Alessi (Gene) and the late Timothy Conners (Theresa) and Delores Boudoin (Rudy). Proud grandmother of Scott J. Brown Jr. (Tracie), Ricky L. Smallwood Jr. (Sommer) and Matthew K. Brown (Sam). Great grandmother of “Princess” Briah, Logan and Matthew Jr. Bernice is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Bernice was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in Picayune, MS. She truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures of spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the Mardi Gras season, garage sales collecting dolls, Halloween and working in her yard. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren also her beloved dog Sammye. Her love for the New Orleans Saints was surpassed only by her dream of meeting Aaron Rogers. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. She will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend of many, who treasured her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00AM. She will be laid to eternal rest with her beloved husband in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
