Betty Hardee passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the age of 66. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Melrose Blasini and sister of the late Ernie Jr. She was married to Mike Hardee for 45 years and loved every minute of it. She loved her two sons Tony & Toby even when they drove her crazy. She taught her sons many life lessons along their way. Of the lessons they never learned, was how to collect Precious Moments and wear patent leather shoes (thank goodness!). She is survived by her sister Nancy Byrnes. She is the proud grandmother of Andrew and Rebecca Hardee who brought her great joy & whom she treasured. She is also survived and fondly remembered by Uncle Aaron Methe, Robert Byrnes, Theresa Hardee, Danielle Hardee and other family members including her nieces & nephews. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by family & by many dear friends as a kind, thoughtful and exceedingly generous woman. We know her as a loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest and maybe even enjoyed QVC and online shopping a bit too much (we are still not sure how many more boxes will arrive at her house). Above all, she treasured her family, friends and their Precious Moments together. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, June 11th from 11:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Funeral Mass in her memory beginning at 12:00PM. She will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in memory of Betty Hardee be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Donations can be made at www.stjude.org or by bringing a check written to St. Jude to the service.
