Beverly Thompson Pilet

Beverly was born in New Orleans to Samuel B. Thompson and Rita Giroir Thompson on January 21, 1937. She grew up in the St. Claude neighborhood of the New Orleans Ninth Ward and graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School. It was there that she met her husband and father of her four boys. Beverly dedicated her life to raising her children and taking care of family members in need. She enjoyed many activities with her friends including bowling, watching football and Cops, going to the casino, cooking, and gardening.

Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, John W. Pilet, Sr., and her oldest son John W. Pilet, Jr. (Claudia). She is also preceded in death by her parents and siblings (Donald Thompson, Barbara Schreiber, Betty Wertz, and Lorena Greenleaf.

She is survived by her sons Gerald (Judy), Jeffrey (Sheila), James, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend our sincerest thanks to Vital Care Hospice (especially Alexis and Monica) for their care and support during our time of need.

The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Beverly's close friends, Marty, Wayne, Sharon, and Jackie for their loving friendship and help.

Beverly will be in the care of St. Bernard Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery. Services will be private.
