Charlene Pomes Forte

Charlene P. Forte passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the age of 72. She was the cherished wife of Vincent A. Forte. Loving mother of Charlene Michelle Forte. Daughter of Calvin Pomes and Mercedes Pomes. Sister of Kathleen K. Munson. Proud grandmother Michelle Regua, Marissa Regua, Jeffery Regua, Philp Regua and Mia Regua. Great grandmother of Hope & Thomas Jr. and Kaliani & Milani. Beloved aunt of Cheri K. Babin, Kathleen Kansas and Leslie Kansas. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives and dear friends.

Charlene's life was defined by a deep appreciation for the simple pleasures and the beauty found in the everyday moments. Charlene found joy in the company of friends, especially at the St. Bernard Council on Aging, where she created lasting memories and shared countless smiles. Her heart knew no boundaries as she cultivated friendships through pen pal connections spanning the globe, leaving an indelible mark on hearts far and wide.

Her dedication to her family was unique and her loyalty knew no bounds. She was a source of unwavering support, and her caring and loving spirit illuminated the lives of all fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on through the bonds she forged and the love she shared.

As we bid farewell to Charlene, we remember a life well-lived, marked by love, compassion, and the simple pleasures that make life beautiful. Her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will continue to inspire and comfort us in the years to come. In the embrace of cherished memories, we say our goodbyes, grateful for the time we had with Charlene and deeply saddened by the void left in our lives. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service where Charlene will be laid to eternal rest at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS CEMETERY, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, January 30th beginning at 10:30AM.
