Craig Michael Trapani

Craig Michael Trapani, age 46, was born on June 7, 1969 and passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015. He was a native of the New Orleans’ Irish Channel, a long-time resident of Chalmette since 1973, and a current resident of Hammond.

Mr. Trapani was the father of Brandon P. Hernandez and Gage Trapani; son of Paul A., Sr. and Patricia Pintado Trapani; brother of Paul A. Trapani, Jr, and Tiffiney Trapani Eason (Mark); uncle of Scarlet Eason, and Kimberly and Leland Perez. He is also survived by numerous other family and friends.

Mr. Trapani avidly participated in all sports at Rebel Park in Chalmette. He played football and basketball at Chalmette High School, from which he graduated in 1987. Craig enjoyed life to the fullest, loved to have a good time. Every day was a party for him. Everywhere he would go, everyone knew him and knew he was there. He loved to make people happy.

Relatives, friends, Chalmette High School faculty, friends, teachers, coaches and classmates, and members of the Krewe of Thoth, Carnival Club, The Pharaoh’s Club, and The Friends Club are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, December 18, 2015, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel. Mr. Trapani will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
