Daniel "Danny" J. Duplessis

Daniel Joseph Duplessis passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 Age 86. Beloved husband of the late Sylvia Mathews Duplessis. Beloved brother of Edith Welty and Anthony Duplessis, Sr. (Mary) and brother-in-law of Jeanette M. Hearty (the late Patrick Hearty). Preceded in death by his siblings Lucille Baudin (Kirby), William Duplessis, Jr. (Delores), Clifton Duplessis (Joycelyn), and Nolan Duplessis. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Dorothy F. Mathews and his brother-in-law James E. Mathews (Vickie). Daniel is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Daniel was a retired employee of the Port of New Orleans Stevedores. He was a member of Longshoremen Local #3000, and he was a member of the First Baptist Church of Slidell.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, April 24, 2021, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Please be mindful that facial coverings are required, and social distancing is encouraged, at all times inside the funeral home.
