Deborah Mayeux Granberry

Deborah Mayeux Granberry passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Paul Conrad Granberry, Jr., for 44 years. Loving mother of Jill Schofield (Michael) and Erin Johnston (Lane). Devoted grandmother of Avery, Lane, and Reese Johnston and Paige, Scott, and Alexandra Schofield. Sister of Linda Fraychineaud (Arthur) and Michael (Shawn), Cheryl, and Wayne (Tina) Mayeux. Sister-in-law of Thomas (Donna), Timothy (Joan), and James (Pat) Bayard. Also survived fondly by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A former employee of the St. Bernard Parish School Board and Claiborne and Koretzky Dermatology, Deborah spent her life in St. Bernard Parish surrounded by her loving family. A woman of deep faith, she spent her later years caring for her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Her home was the gathering place in their neighborhood, and she loved having her family there for meals. Deborah also enjoyed spending time with her sister Cheryl every week going shopping and to restaurants. She found her greatest joy in spoiling her grandchildren – hosting sleepovers, buying prizes, planning holidays, playing games, and taking trips.

Deborah was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be remembered fondly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, located at 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA 70043, on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow at the same location, beginning at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
