Edward J. Nagin, Jr. passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022. He was 84 years old. He was the devoted husband of Catherine M. Nagin; loving father of Dena Cotten, and John Nagin; father-in-law to Richard Cotten and Vickie Nagin, proud grandfather of Victoria Nagin, Hayden Nagin, Alexandra Durel, and Caleb Roberts; great-grandfather of Noah Durel; and brother of Jo Ann Jambon, Liz Shaw, Larry Delger, EJ Nagim, RJ Nagim, and AJ Nagim, brother-in-law to Glen Jambon and Debbie Delger. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late Josephine Macaluso and Edward Nagin, Sr. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
“Eddie” was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His favorite pastime was fishing and carpentry work. He looked forward to watching LSU baseball and football every year. He will be forever missed by all those he leaves behind.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A memorial mass will be held in Eddie’s memory at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
