Edwin P. Johnston IV

Edwin “Eddie” Preston Johnston IV passed away peacefully May 15, 2014 at his home. Eddie is survived by his mother Patricia Schoen Johnston, Father Edwin “Preston” Johnston III and his Wife Nancy of Crosby, TX. Son Edwin “Preston” Johnston V and Daughter Alyssa Claire Johnston, Aunt Alice “Nannie” Ruiz of Ocean Springs, MS and Grandmother Florence Schoen of Sarasota, FL. He is preceded in death by his Grandfather Joseph Charles Schoen Sr., Grandmother Joan D Johnston, Grandfather Edwin “Eddie” Johnston Jr., Uncle Alex “NuNu” Ruiz, and countless Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Eddie was born in New Orleans, LA on September 8th, 1972. He grew up in Chalmette and spent countless days with his Nannie and NuNu as well as his family in Biloxi.

Eddie believed his greatest gifts were his two children, Preston and Alyssa, and he worked hard to care for and support them. The love he felt for them was pure and never ending.

Eddie believed in hard work, his family and most of all, his God. Though the road was often rough for him he persevered knowing that his family would support him and his God will lead him. He was a gifted electrician who loved his work and the people he worked for. Eddie always had a smile on his face and warm hug ready when he saw you. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Eddie will be laid to rest at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, Monday May 19th at 1:00pm. Visitation will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Graveside service immediately following. .
