Gasper Anthony Spunizo

Gasper was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Julienne Marie Guillot Spunizo. He leaves behind his cherished daughters, Nancy Ann Spunizo (Jerry), Lisa Mary Spunizo Billiot (Tim), and Julienne Marie Spunizo Johns (Archie).

He was a proud grandfather to Dale Walter Hagadone III (April), Brenda Lillie Cook, and Jade Lakota Johns, and a loving great-grandfather to Maya Rosalie Hagadone, Landyn Evans Hagadone, Dominick Anthony Hagadone, and Adalynn Grace Fricke.

Gasper is preceded in death by his parents, Gasper B. Spunizo and Lorenza P. Spunizo, as well as his brother, Edward Spunizo.

A resident of St. Tammany Parish for 45 years, Gasper made his home in Slidell, Louisiana. He dedicated 26 years of hard work to Boh Bros before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed watching drag racing and football, and was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.

Gasper will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the love he shared with those around him. He will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, May 1st from 11:00AM – 1:00PM. A Funeral Mass will follow. Gasper will be laid to eternal at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
