Gerald Anthony Grosch passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He has been home battling Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) for 10 years. Although he was battling this awful disease, he never thought he was sick, nor did he let it define him or change who he was. He was full of "personality" until the end.
People who knew him well and mere acquaintances described him as a good man. His family described him as loving, kind, witty, and somewhat of a mechanical genius. He spent most of his life building motorcycles and restoring old cars as a hobby. He showed many of his motorcycles in various shows for fun. The real honor was when his favorite magazine, Easyrider, contacted him to do a centerpiece on his beautiful motorcycle, which was more like a work of art. Pops was an awesome father and grandfather who was very proud of his children and grandchildren's accomplishments. He was a great teacher for anyone who wanted a piece of his knowledge. He continued to coach family and friends on the right type and size tool to get jobs done.
He is survived by the love of his life, Jackie Grosch whom he adored until his last breath. His eyes lit up every time she walked into the room even 50 years later. He is also survived by his daughter Misty Sherlock (Robb), his son Gerald Grosch II (Dianne), his 5 granddaughters who called him Pops - Zoe, Kennedi, Karmindi, Kylie, and Kamille, and his brother Mark Grosch.
He will forever be remembered as the most loving husband, father, and pops. He will be privately laid to rest at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. For those who wish to visit in the future, he will be eternally resting on west outside wall of the Devotion Mausoleum Row of Adoration.
