James Earl Scott, age 73, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was a native of Corinth, Mississippi and a longtime resident of Chalmette. Following Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Scott relocated to Slidell.
Mr. Scott was the beloved husband of Priscilla Wall Scott for 53 years; devoted father of James Michael (wife Becky) and Jeffrey Charles (wife Barbara); loving grandfather of Amanda Linn Scott Arcement (Blake), James Michael Scott II (Amy), Mallory Michelle Scott, Katherine Anne Scott, and Justin Thomas Scott; great-grandfather of James Michael Scott III; son of the late James Herman and Sue Lee Bradley Scott; brother of Rosa Mae Nethery and Brenda Sue Harkleroad; uncle of numerous nieces, nephews and a dear friend to many.
Mr. Scott owned and operated D&S Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. for 48 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 11:00am – 2:00pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 2:00pm.
