Jay Prescott Bruno

Jay Prescott Bruno, passed away on May 5, 2018. He was 40 years old. Beloved son of Cynthia Fincher Bruno and the late Craig Bruno. Step-son of Curtis “Ray” Pitts. Cherished brother of Jessica Wininger (Timmy), Cheri Fincher, and the late Jennifer Bruno. He was the grandchild of Joseph S. Bruno (Marie), Ruby Dale Keaton, and the late Katherine S. Bruno, William “Bill” Fincher, and Joyce Rickey. He was the uncle of Cameron Tardo, Caden Fincher and Alex Wininger. He will be dearly missed by his beloved dog, Prissy. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

Jay was a graduate of Chalmette High School, class of 1998. He was very patriotic and loved the American Flag. He also loved Hot Wheels and anything related to Star Trek. He enjoyed Mardi Gras, and loved attending parades. Jay could often be found outside, wearing his baseball cap, with a Coca-Cola in his hand. He loved his family above all, and was never happier than when he was with them.

A Memorial Gathering will take place in Jay’s honor at COVENANT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 115 E. D’AMOUR STREET, in Chalmette, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations of new Hot Wheels Cars, at the Memorial Service. The cars will be donated to Children’s Hospital.
