

Jean Ann Reuther Corne passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the age of 95. She was the cherished wife of the late Emile Alphonse Corne Sr. Loving mother of Julie Corne Willheit (Randy), Richard James Corne (Lisa) and the late Emile Alphonse Corne Jr (Debbie\ Sheri). Daughter of the late Louis and Blanche Reuther. Sister of the late Blanche R. Cabiran, Inez R. Fauler, Natalie R. Scovern, Maurice Reuther and Louis Reuther Jr. Proud grandmother of Scott (Andrea), Jaime (Jeff), Jennifer, Randy (Teresa), Nicholas (Lindsey) and the late Richard Jr. Great grandmother of Gavin, Garrett, Hayden, Collin, Kendall, Hendrix, Helena, Dylan, Brenton, Keaton and Ava. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Born in Mobile, AL, Jean was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and enjoyed some time in Mandeville before settling in her beloved New Orleans. Jean was known for her unwavering dedication to caring for others. Her compassion shone through her long career as a nurse and her active involvement in community organizations. She was a devoted member of the Altar Society, the Homemaker Club, AARP, and the Senior Citizen Center of Mandeville. Jean also found joy in her role as an exercise teacher, inspiring many with her energy and enthusiasm. Jean's family and friends will remember her for her loving nature and generous heart. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, who cherished every moment with her family and friends. She was well loved and affectionately known for her good nature and generous heart. Jean will be deeply missed by her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Her legacy of love and service will forever be remembered in the hearts of those she has left behind.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, August 7th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Mass in Jean’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
