Joseph "Joey" W. Heckmann III

Joey was the beloved son of Pat and Paul Dalier, and the late Joseph W. Heckmann, Jr. Brother to Wendy Taube (Tony), Nancy Howard (Tom), Joann Smasal, Warren Heckmann (Michelle), and Becky Ferrell; Uncle to eight nieces and three nephews; great-uncle to four great-nieces and eight great-nephews; Godfather to two nieces and one nephew.

In his early years, Joey worked in the oil field, was a welder, a carpenter, and in his later years was owner of Tacos in the Sawmill Mall.

Joey was a friend to everyone he met and would come to their aid whenever needed. His favorite pastime was fishing. He was an amazing carpenter and was known for his ability to tell the best stories. Joey will be sadly missed by both, friends and family.

Interment services will be held February 7th, 2025, at 10:00AM at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. 701W. Virtue Street, Chalmette, LA 70043. The graveside service will be officiated by Father Robert Massett.
