Kathleen Trosclair Licciardi, age 78, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and devotion to her family. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was a lifelong resident of Chalmette, where she built a life rooted in family, community, and hard work. Kathleen graduated from Chalmette High School in 1965. She was widowed in 2019, and though she deeply missed her beloved spouse, she remained a source of strength and warmth to all who knew her.
She devoted 25 years of service to the St. Bernard Parish School Board, working until her retirement in 2005. In her personal time, she found great joy in researching her family history. She had a deep passion for genealogy and took pride in uncovering stories of those who came before her, preserving her family’s legacy for future generations. She delighted in sharing these discoveries with her loved ones, ensuring that their roots would never be forgotten. Above all, she was a loving mother to her two daughters, a proud grandmother to her cherished grandson, and a devoted great-grandmother to her two great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, who brought endless happiness and light into her life.
Kathleen is survived by her two daughters, Cindy and Wendy Licciardi; her grandson, Nicholas Licciardi (Jessica) and her two great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and Christopher Licciardi; her brother Cyril Thomas Trosclair and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends. Trosclair III, Richard Trosclair and Jack Trosclair.
She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the deep love she had for her family. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
