Kerry "Kaki" E. Serpas

Kerry E. Serpas “Kaki”, age 68, of Violet, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his home. Kerry was born on December 25, 1952 in New Orleans, LA to the late, Jensen “Boug” Serpas and Ruth Hahn Serpas. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister Sandra Perry and his eldest daughter, Melissa “Missy” Serpas-Sepulveda, his “Peppa”.

Kaki was the beloved husband of Gabriele “Gaby” Serpas. Kaki was the proud father of Maria “Butzi” Ruth Serpas, the late Melissa Serpas-Sepulveda (Jason), Troy Serpas, and his Labrador, Reggie. He was the devoted grandfather of Caitlyn Pizzitola (Jonathan), Bailey Serpas, Rhiannon Sepulveda, and Ethan Sepulveda and loving great-grandfather to Caleb and a future great-granddaughter. He was brother to Pat Strickland (Bob), Lynn Serpas, and Frank Serpas (Barbara) as well as uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Kaki loved his little paradise in da Parish, hunting, fishing, carving ducks, and treating the neighborhood kids to freezies.

Please join us for a visitation for Kaki on Saturday July 31, 2021 from 11 AM – 1 PM at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. Chalmette, LA 70043, with a Memorial Service to follow at 1 PM at St. Bernard Mem. Funeral Home Chapel. We have chosen a private burial to take place at a later date.
