Leanna Michelle Humphries Hoover

Leanna Michelle Humphries Hoover entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. She was 31 years old. She was the beloved wife of Joshua Hoover; the loving and devoted mother of Jackson and Callie Hoover; cherished daughter of Toni Mendoza (Jesse) and Timothy Humphries (Brooke); stepdaughter of Jen McMichael; sister of Draven, Timmy, Nick, Jesse, Taylor, and Marisa; granddaughter of Ronald Broussard (Jeanette), and Patricia Prestonbach; and niece of Tracy Littleton. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, the late Betty Jane Broussard; her paternal grandfather, the late Grandpa Tom Humphries; and by her great-aunt, the late Betty Singley. She also leaves behind her Godmother and Nanny, Rose Hebert and Kristy Blair, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

Leanna was born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and was raised in the New Orleans LaPlace area. She found great purpose in serving her community as an ER Nurse at Baton Rouge General Hospital and St. James Parish Hospital, but she was never happier than when she was with her family, who was the center of her world. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, and her memory will live forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

The family extends a heartfelt debt of gratitude to the ICU Staff of Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, for the superb care and kindness shown to Leanna in her last days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at CELEBRATION CHURCH, 7500 W. Judge Perez Drive, in Arabi, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held in her memory at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
