

Lecil Thomas Walton, lovingly known as "Curley," was born on June 8, 1939, in Winfield, Alabama, to Leonard and Grace Walton. He entered into eternal rest on December 15, 2025, at the age of 86. Curley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Walton, and was a loving father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family above all else. He is survived by his children, Kimberly Smith (Walter) and Kenny Robertson (Mary). He was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Robertson. He was a proud grandfather to Jason Smith (Gabrielle), Alex Smith, Lauren McGinnis (Chris), Lesley Milhas (Jason), and Jeffrey Robertson (Bre-Anna), and was preceded in death by his grandsons, Kevin Robertson, Anthony and Andrew Smith. He also leaves behind his great-grandchildren: Isabella Lemoine, Londyn Smith, Easton Smith, Everly Smith, Addison McGinnis, Kyle McGinnis, Sawyer Robertson, Kelsey Robertson, Aubrey Kleles, Charlotte Milhas and Khloe Davis, each of whom brought immense joy to his life.
A hardworking man, Curley spent his career as an Iron Worker with Local 58 Union, a profession that reflected his strength, dedication, and strong work ethic. In his free time, he loved watching football, dining out, and enjoying good food-especially when surrounded by family. Curley was a fun-loving soul with a contagious laugh who could light up any room. A diehard Alabama football fan, he proudly lived by the motto "Roll Tide," cheering on his beloved Crimson Tide with unmatched passion. He will be remembered as a devoted family man whose humor, warmth, and joy brought happiness to all who knew him. A private service will be held.
