Lionel F. Guerra

Lionel F. Guerra passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the age of 88. He was born on December 6, 1933 to the late Lawrence Guerra Sr. and the late Myrtle Crespo Guerra. He was born and raised in St. Bernard, LA and moved to Angie, LA after Hurricane Katrina. Lionel was the loving husband to the late Andretta “TeeTee” Treadaway Guerra for over 40 years. Proud father of Cheryl Guerra Roper, the late Debbie Guerra Gagliano, Patty Guerra Nation (Pierre), the late Baby Boy Guerra and bonus child the late Garlene “Tutt” Serigne. Caring grandfather to Melissa Brandt, Krissy Gagliano, Angel Roberts, Heather Oalmann (Travis), Clinton Nation III (Ashley), and Korey Nation (Macy); great grandfather to Briana Brandt, Halli Rogers, Brooke Brandt, Landon Nation, Steve “Trey” Roberts III, Paul Rogers Jr., Madelyn Roberts, Brayen Nation, Kinsley Nation, Chandler Oalmann, Wyatt Oalmann, Miley Nation, Emma Nation and Kori Nation; brother to Marilyn Costanza, the late Lawrence Guerra Jr., the late James Guerra, the late Melvin Guerra Sr., Raymond “Brother” Guerra and Clement Guerra.

Lionel was incredibly proud to be a Veteran. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956. He loved fishing, working with horses and dancing. His greatest joy was being around his family and friends. He was loved by us all and will be deeply missed.
