

Lois Cordes Billiot Tessier passed away at the age of 77 on January 29, 2021. She was born on September 1, 1943 in New Orleans. After graduating from college, she worked as a comptroller at Dauphine Orleans Hotel where she retired after 30 years. Lois was also an active member of the Archbishop Rummel Ladies Auxiliary. Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and a “Mae Mae.” She is preceded in death by her husband of over 28 years, Donald Tessier; her parents, Elvira Cozzens and George Cordes; by sons, Paul Jacob Caranek Jr. and Brian Billiot and her brother, Bobby Cordes. She is survived by: her daughter, Stacey Edenfield (Anthony); her son, Keith Billiot (Darla); her brothers, Randy Cordes, Roy Cordes and Raymond Cordes; her grandchildren, Nathan Billiot, Kevin Billiot, Rene Billiot, Anthony Edenfield, Jr., Alyssa Edenfield, and Edward Edenfield (Samantha); and her great-grandchild, Mayven Edenfield.
Mass will be held in the chapel of St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 Virtue St. Chalmette, LA 70043 on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. She will later be laid to rest at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
