

Marian Ann Ricaud Montalbano passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the age of 94. She was the cherished wife of the late Henry Montalbano. Loving mother of Melanie Uzee (Andre), Diane Johnson (Jimmy), Henry Montalbano Jr., Adrian Montalbano (Tracy), Laurie McInnis (Guy) and the late Lisa Montalbano. Daughter of the late Paul and Lena Valois Ricaud. Proud grandmother of Travis (Kim), Lisa (Eric), Mallory (Ross), Vicki (Brad), Chelsea, Brandon, Carley (Ben), Raven and Julie. Sister of the late Narcille Ricaud Enclade, Laura Ricaud Laborde, Antoinette Ricaud Giovengo, Paul Ricaud Jr., Louis Ricaud Sr. and Mark Ricaud. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 10 great grandchildren, along with many cousins, relatives and dear friends.
Born in Moreauville, LA, Marian was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before settling in New Orleans. She had a passion for life that was evident in her love for dining out with family and friends, especially enjoying the movie theater in the company of her sisters and dear friend Ms. Josie Frichter. Marian found joy in the simple pleasures of life - reading, the challenge of solving crossword puzzles and sharing laughter with those she loved.
She had a deep loyalty and dedication to her family. Marian had a caring and loving spirit, always putting others first and showering her grandchildren with affection and attention. She exemplified what it meant to care for others and her warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Rest in peace, dear Marian. You leave behind a warm legacy of kindness and joy, and you will be remembered fondly for your laughter, your smile, and your generous heart.
