She was the beloved wife of William “Bill” Russell for 65 years; mother of John, Bon, and Dorothy Russell, Laurie R. Brown, and the late William “Billy” Russell; grandmother of John Russell, Jr., Jennifer Russell,; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; daughter of the late Celestine Latapie and Melvina Campo Latapie; sister of Ronald Latapie and the late Allen Latapie and Bettie Latapie Gonzales; auntie of Russell Gonzales, Jr. and Christie Gonzales, and the late Mark Gonzales; great-auntie of Russell “Rusty” Gonzales.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 7:00 pm until 10:oo pm, and again on Thursday, June 18 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. A Funeral Mass will begin in the Chapel at 10:00 am. Mrs. Russell will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in St. Bernard, Louisiana.
