Mildred Artigue Hallock

Mildred Artigue Hallock passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2025. She was the beloved wife of 30 years to James Laconner Hallock. Loving mother of Anthony Prejean (Gina), Bonnie Hinkel (Mike), Rodney Prejean and the late Tommy Prejean (Roxanne). Step-mother of Jimmy Lee Hallock. She is also survived and fondly remembered by her 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; and many cousins, relatives and dear friends.

Born in Arnaudville, Mildred was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures of cooking and tending her beautiful vegetable garden. She found pleasure in the details of everyday life and caring deeply for others. Mildred will always be remembered for her loyalty and dedication to her family, her caring and loving spirit, her laughter, and enjoying her time spent with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others and will be deeply missed by us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, December 13th from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a celebration of Mildred's life beginning at 11:00AM.
