Mrs. Ward was the wife of the late Edward E. Ward for 56 years; daughter of the late August and Mary Roch; beloved mother of Geraldine Ward, Kathleen Montz (Robert), Edward E. Ward, Jr. (Irene), Robert Ward (Mary), Mildred Chatagnier (Rene), Helen Ward, and Jean Lopez (John); grandmother of twelve; great-grandmother of seventeen; sister of the late Wilfred and Paul Roch; teacher and friend to many.
Mrs. Ward was a retired teacher of Orleans Parish Public Schools and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Carrollton, Texas. She was the quintessential mother who will be dearly missed and treasured.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. JAMES MAJOR CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3736 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans, Louisiana, on Friday, March 4, 2016, from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 am. Mrs. Ward will be laid to rest beside her husband in St. Vincent de Paul Mausoleum, 1401 Louisa Street, New Orleans.
