Nenita “Mommy” T. Baltazar, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at the age of 102 years. She was the loving and cherished mother of Shirley Balbon and mother-in-law of Nelson Balbon; devoted grandmother of Sheila Balbon Gabarra (Reymund Gabarra), and Neilbert Balbon (Althea Balbon); proud great-grandmother of Rodnel, Rey Joseph, Reysheil Marie, Neil Ryan, Noah Andrew, and Nathan Joseph; and sister of Basilia Ortiz. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Marcela Quintana Tabudlong and Eugenio Tabudlong, and by her brother, the late Porferio Tabudlong. She is also survived by many other relatives and dear friends.
A gathering of family and friends will take place in Nenita’s memory on Friday, June 9, 2023, at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Funeral Mass will begin in her honor at 11:00 AM.
