It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Dantoni, age 73, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025. Born in New Orleans, LA in 1952, Paul dedicated much of his life to hard work and family. He spent over 30 years driving for United Cab, where he was known not only for his reliability but for his warm personality and easy conversation. His job was more than just a livelihood — it was a way to connect with people from all walks of life, something he deeply enjoyed. Outside of work, he found joy in the outdoors, particularly in hunting — a pastime that brought him both peace and adventure. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He cherished every moment with his children and grandchildren, who brought endless pride and happiness into his life. Whether gathered for holidays, family dinners, or quiet afternoons, those times were the ones he held most dear.
Paul will be remembered for his steady presence, his generous spirit, and the deep love he had for those closest to him. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, warmth, and dedication that will continue to inspire all who knew him. He is survived by Ex-wife, Mattie Dantoni; his children, Michelle Dantoni and Paul Dantoni Jr.; his grandchildren, Troy Anthony Mire Jr., John McElroy IV, Paul Dantoni III, Logan Dantoni, Austin Dantoni and Kayleigh Dantoni; his siblings, Brenda Nash and Bruce Dantoni. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Juanita Dantoni. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
