Peggy Lauga McPherson passed away at her home on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the age of 66. Loving mother of Jamie Abney Catalanotto (Joe). Beloved wife of the late James E. McPherson Jr. Daughter of late Paul Lauga and Juliette Christian Lauga. Sister of Paul Lauga Jr. (the late Susan), William C. “Bill” Lauga and Anne Lauga Cusimano (Nick). Proud grandmother of Marissa, Alexis and Giana Catalanotto.
Peggy was a graduate of Andrew Jackson High School - Class of 1973 and received her Bachelor’s Degree from Nichols State University. She was a dedicated employee of USDA-NFC and retired after 34 years of service. She loved many forms of sewing including cross stitch and quilting. She also enjoyed drag racing and spending time with family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00AM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to your favorite charity in memory of Peggy.
