Raymond Patrick Thibodeaux

Raymond Patrick Thibodeaux, age 86, of Chalmette, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025. A proud U.S. Navy veteran and lifelong electrician, Raymond dedicated many years of service to Frischhertz Electric and was a valued member of IBEW Local 130. A 1957 graduate of Fortier High School, he furthered his education at Delgado Community College and pursued specialized training in refrigeration, automotive technology, and high-voltage cable splicing.

Raymond is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kim Thibodeaux and Karen Pizzitolo (Raymond), and his sister, Rowena. He was a devoted grandfather to Rodney Blache Jr. (Carolina), Chad Blache (Melissa), Neal Thibodeaux (Kiki), Jordan Salles (Kelsie), Kyle Salles, Nicole Lafrance (Michael), and Matt Pizzitolo (Angelle). He was also a proud great-grandfather to Kennedi, Gage, Mia, Molly, Chad Jr., Nora, Macie, Hayden, Graham, Emilynn, Alison, Michael, Mia, and Andrian, and great-great-grandfather to Hudson.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Mistrot Thibodeaux; his daughter, Kathy Salles; and his siblings, Roland Bernard, Geraldine, Theresa, and Anna Mae.

Raymond cherished life’s simple joys, spending time outdoors with his grandchildren, dancing, and making the most of every moment with those he loved. His warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by military honors.
