It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rebecca “Becky” Lystra, at the age of 54. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, creativity, and love that will never be forgotten. Becky is survived by her sons, Jacob Lystra and James Lystra, her uncle, Emmett J. Burtchaell, many relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Perret; her parents, Wanda Burtchaell Reinecke and Curtis Lystra; her grandparents, Emett G. Burtchaell and Doris Burtchaell.
A devoted mother, she was known for her nurturing spirit and her dedication to her family. Her home was always filled with the sweet scents of freshly baked treats, a reflection of her passion for baking. Whether it was a birthday cake or a simple batch of cookies, she poured love into every recipe, creating moments of joy and togetherness for all who gathered around her table. Beyond her love for baking, Becky had a deep appreciation for beauty and craftsmanship. She enjoyed making jewelry, creating one-of-a-kind pieces that captured her artistic vision and personal touch. She also had a lifelong fascination with gemstones. Her collections were a testament to her appreciation for the unique and the precious, just as she saw the beauty in the people she loved. Becky was a kind and gentle soul, always ready with a listening ear or a warm hug. She touched the lives of many with her generosity and her ability to make everyone feel special and valued. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
