Russ “Rusty” M. Acosta Sr. passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the age of 60. Loving father of Angelle Wyatt (Sean) and Russ Acosta Jr. (Michelle). Son of Barbara Lopez Acosta and the late Rodney Acosta. Brother of Susie Austin (Mark), Kelly Acosta and the late Kim Acosta, Proud grandfather of Gabrielle Acosta, Giana Acosta, Addison Wyatt, Brennen Wyatt, Giselle Acosta and Carsyn Wyatt. Also survived by his furever friend Gumbo.
Rusty was born on April 28, 1958. He was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish and a current resident of Ponchatoula, LA. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all of those whose lives he touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
